Alan Penman

Composer and creator of Choonbaboon!

Alan is one of Scotland’s most respected composers for children and young people, and specialises in writing accessible, fun, fab songs and music.

He has written music for the Disney Channel, CBBC, CBeebies, CITV, BBC Alba and BBC2  and was composer and presenter for 10 series of BBC Schools “What? Where? When? Why?”

​His musicals for children have been performed all over the UK and abroad and is an experienced music workshop leader, encouraging songwriting with children of all ages.
